Harley Quinn "Easter Egg" on CW's "Arrow"

A rare "non-Star Wars" post today...

Last night's episode of "Arrow" on the CW gave us just a taste of what it could be like if Harley Quinn entered the live action DC Universe.  Tara Strong voiced the "Easter Egg" on the episode titled "Suicide Squad" and was credited as "Deranged Squad Female". Strong's voice was instantly recognizable to anyone who has played the Batman Arkham series of video games, as she voiced The Joker's girlfriend in those games.

Although the powers that be on "Arrow" want to curb expectations that Quinn will show up on "Arrow" for more than just a voice cameo, fans can't help but want to see the favorite brought to life.

“I want to manage expectations with respect to Harley Quinn,” Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim told Collider before the episode aired. “She was always intended to be an Easter egg. I don’t want people to go in with incorrect expectations and walk away from Episode 16 disappointed.”

There is also campaigns across social media to give the character a recurring role in upcoming story arcs.
for those of you unfamilliar, the character of Harley Quinn was created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini for the 1990's "Batman: The Animated Series". Check out the clip below and then head over to Wikipedia to get your Harley knowledge on.
